Travelling Gavel Returns to Lodge St Andrew via Lodge Carron

Since the last update the gavel has been on the move twice.

After an excellent night of freemasonry on the 26th January 2026, where they witnessed an excellent FC degree, Lodge Carron 139 claimed the Travelling Gavel from Stirling Royal Arch No 76.
There were15 brethren in the deputation from 139, in a deputation of 32 brethren. Also in the deputation was RWM Brother Trevor Deans, Lodge St Andrew (Denny & Loanhead) No 176 and RWM Brother Brian Wright, Ancient Stirling No 30 and Brethren from their respective lodges.
Pictured below the are all 4 RWM's and the brethren from 139.

However 2 days later on Wednesday 28th January, Lodge St Andrew (Denny and Loanhead) No 176, came a calling. On this occasion RWM Brother Trevor Deans accompanied by 13 Brethren of Lodge St Andrew successfully claimed the Gavel and took it back to Denny.

Pictured below are both RWM's and the Brethren of Lodge St Andrew.

RWM's look to happy.

Therefore the Travelling Gavel is now at Lodge St Andrew (Denny and Loanhead) No 176. Their next meeting will take place on Friday 6th February 2026 where they will be welcoming the Brethren from the Coulsdon Lodge, Croydon and will be conferring a 3rd Degree.

Please ensure PG Secretary and myself are advised if you claim it.

The Gavel is available for any Lodge in the Province to claim.

So the place now to go to is Denny
