2025 Annual Meeting and Installation

The Annual Communication and Installation of Office Bearers of Provincial Grand Lodge took place on Saturday 22nd February 2025 within the premises of Lodge St Andrew (Denny and Loanhead) No 176.

After the formal opening of Provincial Grand Lodge and conducting of business, the election of Office Bearers took place and the Brethren listed in the Office Bearers page, click here, were elected into Office. There were three vacant Offices and three Brethren, Brothers Michael Empson, James McMeechan and James Brown, stood for the Offices. After the vote Brother Michael Empson was elected to the office of PG Standard Bearer, Brother James McMeechan to the office of PG Inner Guard and Brother James Brown to the office of President of PG Stewards. The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master congratulated all three Brethren on their election.

There then was admitted into Provincial Grand Lodge a deputation of Brethren from the Sister Provinces headed by Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master of Lanarkshire Upper Ward, Brother Scott MacLean, followed by a deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland, headed by Past Substitute Grand Master Brother John McKenzie. Both deputations were warmly welcomed into Provincial Grand Lodge by PGM Brother Gordon Sewell.

The Office Bearers were then installed by Provincial Grand Master Brother Gordon Sewell in a very capable manner.

The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master then presented the retiring Senior Provincial Grand Warden, Brother Robert McAuley PM of Lodge Bannockburn Bruce and Thistle No 312 and Lodge Craiginnan No 850 with his Past Senior Warden regalia and jewel and thanked him for his efforts over the many years he has held Provincial Grand Office. Brother McCauley suitably replied.

At the conclusion of the meeting the Brethren retired for Harmony.
