Bro. Ian G O'Connor PM, Ian's wife Susan, his Mum Mrs Margaret Sherry and Bro Douglas Buck PM presented ach eque to Lynsey Hamilton of the Scottish Spina Bifida Society.
As many will know Bro Ian G O'Connor, Past Master of Lodge St Servanus, has lived his life with Spina Bifida and, despite this condition, his grit and determination has seen him overcome many obstacles.
It was no surprise then that Ian should dedicate his fund raising efforts during his term as Right Worshipful Master to assist with research and care into Spina Bifida, a condition that affects one in every thousand children.
The fundraising efforts were many and numerous including sponsored golf on New Years Day, a sponsored walk over the new Clackmannan Bridge and a speakers night dinner.
Other fundraising activities included Bingo Teas held in the lodge premises and organised by Ian's Mum Mrs Margaret Sherry, his wife Susan and their friends, families and colleagues.
In total the sum of £3,000.00 was raised and Ian extends his thanks and appreciation to everyone who played a part in this magnificent effort and to those who donated to such a worthwhile cause.
A cheque for £3,000.00 was presented to Lynsey Hamilton of the Scottish Spina Bifida Society in Cumbernauld on 22nd August 2014.
The photograph above shows Lynsey receiving the cheque from Ian, Susan, Margaret and Bro Douglas Buck PM.
